Trevors Foodservice and Blackpools community cohesion initiative

Reassurance Plus hosted "Dr Who and the Heart of the Park", on the 24th September at Christ the King School. All residents of Grange Park were invited to attend.

The event was a community cohesion initiative and Reassurance’s attempt to get young and old people, neighbours etc together for a fun event as well as getting people to talk to their neighbours, making them feel more included and empowered. The event was also about raising expectations and pride in the community, as well as raising awareness around healthy eating and diets.

Boundary School, Christ the King School and St Mary’s (all Grange Park Schools) were all actively involved with the production.

There was a healthy food cooking demonstration and Chefs from the Hilton and De Vere were there to cook a healthy stew for the residents to sample. Trevors Foodservice was delighted to support the event and donated food items, plastic cups and carrier bags.
